how do i get my pool to get crystal clear mine is very cloudy?

I was told to shock it and filter it also clarifier

      Do you have a test kit? If so take a reading on the water and post them or send them to me at robandliz1992@yahoo.com. If you don’t then take a sample of water down to the local pool store and have them test for the following:
      Total chlorine
      Free chlorine
      Combined chlorine
      pH
      Alkalinity
      Hardness
      Cyanuric acid
      Total dissolved solids
      Metals
      Phosphates

      This will give us the exact readings on the pool and will narrow down the problem. Clarifier works but only treats the symptom and not the problem. You want to treat the cause of the cloudy water, not the cloudy water itself.

      um…is it new?……if it is thats how all pools are at first it takes about 2 weeks for it to clear up=) if not new, then i don’t know=)

      There are several factors that can contribute to cloudy pool water. The first thing that you should do before trying to treat it is to determine the reason as to why it is cloudy in the first place. Try this link:
